Living Room Clinician (Orland Park, IL)

DUTIES

Trinity Services seeks two clinicians to serve as a Full-Time Living Room Clinician. This is a 40-hour per week position providing assessment of individuals who present to Trinity Services’ Living Room program (a mental health respite program) in acute psychiatric crises. The Living Room Therapist will be greeting guests of the Living Room, conducting brief assessments of presenting issues, and referring guests on to a recovery support specialist for de-escalation, or discharging them from the Living Room if appropriate. Strong skills and knowledge of crisis intervention are required for this position. Applicants must have experience in managing psychiatric crises and be able to demonstrate that knowledge with concrete examples.

This position requires flexibility with one’s work schedule and evening and weekend work is required. Candidates must be available to work during Living Room hours, Sunday through Saturday varying shift schedules in the evening and weekends.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

• Applicants must have a minimum educational attainment of a master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Full Clinical Licensure (LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, etc.) is highly preferred, but individuals with a Master’s Degree and relevant experience will be considered.

• Must have minimum educational attainment of Master’s degree in field of Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical Psychology from an accredited program

• Must have experience working in a clinical setting, providing direct services to clients.

• Must have experience with crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment, and be able to provide concrete examples.

• Clinical licensure preferred, or extensive experience in crisis intervention.

• Evening and Weekend work is REQUIRED in this position. Must have flexibility with schedule. On-call is component of job.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Sit, 76-100% of the time.
2. Stand, walk, 11-40% of the time.
3. Climb stairs, stoop, kneel, bend, reach in front of body, 11-40% of the time.
4. Lift up to 25 pounds.
5. Ordinary speech and hearing, 76-100% of the time.
6. Visual acuity of 20” or less or 20” or more.
7. Simultaneous use of Hand, Wrist, Fingers, 76-100% of the time.

HOURS PER WEEK: 36-40 hours per week, including evening and weekend hours.
