Resource Manager (New Lenox, IL)


Location: New Lenox, IL

Program or Service: Business Office

Description: This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for coordinating agency-wide purchasing activities. This individual will cultivate successful relationships with a wide range of outside vendors predicated on quality, price, service and delivery.

Agreed Hours per Pay Period: Full-time

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include: • Place and coordinate all furniture and furnishings, window covering, paint and floor covering orders for over 100 residential group homes and day centers. • Coordinate and monitor all supplies orders for the Agency, approving centralized supply requests and sourcing and placing orders for approved special orders. • Manage any returns, replacement or warranty claims as required. • In collaboration with the maintenance and business offices, coordinate the Agency’s budget for site-specific improvements and develop a system for prioritizing project needs and requests.• Maintain a database of vendors and suppliers for ongoing price and capabilities comparisons, quality assessments and new purchasing opportunities.• Negotiate pricing, discounts and services with suppliers and vendors so that the Agency continues to get the best possible value.• Manage and track all vendor rebate programs, assuring all claims are submitted in a timely manner.• Prepare regular monthly status reports on project activity, and purchase activity. Be able to explain budget or project variances as necessary.• Other cost/benefit responsibilities may also be assigned as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications: • Excellent math and analytical skills.• Able to use Excel, Word and Access for reports and maintaining data bases.• Outstanding personal communication and phone skills.• Able to track vendor histories and maintain community relationships.• Able to coordinate color schemes:  matching design, form and function.• Willing to travel and work varied hours. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
