Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program Coordinator (Manhattan, IL)

Title: Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program Coordinator

Location: Manhattan, IL

Description: We are hiring for a program coordinator to oversee our therapeutic horseback riding program, STRIDES. The ideal candidate for this role would hold a PATH certification (or be in the process of seeking one) and have experience with riding and caring for horses. Experience working with people with disabilities and providing equestrian instruction is a plus.  This rewarding role involves caring for horses, planning and implementing instrucĀ­tion appropriate for riders, scheduling/supervising staff, and marketing the program. The coordinator would also serve on our network’s leadership team and contribute to a variety of programs focused on supporting people with disabilities. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with who has the passion and energy to grow with this program.


  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Field


  2. PATH certification, or seeking PATH certification is a requirement.


  3. The physical activities for this position involve: balancing, pulling, pushing, standing, climbing, grasping, stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling, reaching, lifting, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
