Trinity was founded by a dedicated group of parents in 1950. It was originally a school for children with developmental disabilities.

Trinity serves more than 6,800 children and adults who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or mental health needs.

Trinity has a presence in 35 Illinois communities in Will, Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Madison, Peoria, Jackson and St. Clair counties.

Trinity Services is one of the largest social services organizations in Illinois, serving over 6,800 people with disabilities and mental health needs. 

In 2025, Trinity Services received the President's Award from The Council on Quality and Leadership, one of only two organizations to receive this prestigious honor.

We are privileged to be celebrating our 70th year of providing supports and services for people with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Though the challenges of 2020 have been numerous, we are grateful we can still celebrate the impact of our mission using the power of technology.
