GivingTuesday 2019

Trinity Services encourages supporters to double their impact on the lives of people with disabilities this #GivingTuesday

NEW LENOX, IL — Trinity Services, Inc. is encouraging all Illinoisans to give back to their neighbors with developmental disabilities and mental illness this #GivingTuesday, Dec. 3.

Donations made to Trinity Services on #GivingTuesday and, in some cases, prior to #GivingTuesday, will be matched dollar-for-dollar, thanks to generous sponsors.

State funding alone cannot fully sustain the services and supports Trinity provides. Trinity relies on the generosity of donors to sustain and enhance services — ensuring improvements at homes and programs, enhancing curriculum at community day services, and providing opportunities for people to learn, achieve and attain more.

Between now and #GivingTuesday, Dec. 3, the Coleman Foundation will match $1,250 of every donation of $1,250 or more made to Trinity Services. Visit www.trinityservices.org/donate to give now. Beginning at 7 a.m. CST on Dec. 3, Facebook will match any donation given to Trinity Services on Facebook up to a total of $100,000. Visit www.facebook.com/trinityservices/fundraisers at 7 a.m. on Dec. 3 to donate any amount and have your donation matched.

Additionally, all are welcome to join Trinity Services between 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, at ROXY Special Event Venue, 1017 S. State St. in Lockport, Illinois. The Lockport Swing Thing will provide free dance lessons to attendees, and adults ages 21 and older who donate $10 or more to Trinity Services at the event or who can show proof of a donation from earlier in the day will receive one free beer from Tangled Roots Brewing Company, which is coming soon to Lockport.

Trinity provides residential, community day, employment, behavioral health, and therapeutic services, working to help people achieve their personal goals and experience greater independence.

For people who face barriers to independence because of a developmental disability or serious mental illness, this type of support is what makes more opportunities possible.

With the assistance of generous donors, Trinity is able to ensure the people it supports have homes to call their own, programs to attend where they can learn new skills, comprehensive physical and mental health care, and lives rich with meaningful, enjoyable experiences.

This is Trinity’s seventh year participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that encourages philanthropy and the celebration of generosity. #GivingTuesday is always held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and holiday shopping days Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Trinity Services has a Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar.
