Trinity's Bonnie Hassan Appointed to Youth Council.

NEW LENOX, IL – Bonnie Hassan, Director of Trinity Outpatient Services, will serve as a member of the Illinois Children’s Mental Health Partnership (ICMPH) Youth Council for FY 2025. Hassan received the appointment from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
In 2003, the State of Illinois and the Illinois Department of Public Health created the Illinois Children’s Mental Health Partnership as part of the Children’s Mental Health Act. “The mission of ICMPH is to develop and monitor the implementation of the Illinois Children’s Mental Health Plan,” said Sameer Vohra, MD, JD, MA, Director, Illinois Department of Public Health and Co-Chair for ICMHP. “It also advises state agencies and the Children's Behavioral Health Transformation Initiative on designing and implementing short-term and long-term strategies to provide comprehensive and coordinated services for children from birth to age 25 and their families to address children's mental health needs across a full continuum of care, including social determinants of health, prevention, early identification, and treatment.”
Hassan feels honored to serve on the Illinois Children’s Mental Health Partnership Youth Council. “There has been a significant increase in youth mental health concerns in recent years,” explained Hassan. “I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in the process and provide ideas and support.”
