Mental Health Awareness Month is an annual observance held in May to raise awareness about mental health, reduce stigma, and promote support for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions.  It highlights the importance of mental well-being and encourages open dialogue about mental health challenges.

Mental Health America established the observance in 1949.

Each year, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has a theme.  The theme for Mental Health Awareness Month 2025 is “Community”.  This theme highlights the importance of strong connections and supportive communities in promoting mental well-being, emphasizing that individuals thrive when they feel connected and supported.  The theme encourages open conversations, initiatives supporting mental health, and building communities prioritizing and supporting mental well-being for all.

Health and well-being are essential elements of full and abundant living. That is why programs and amenities at Trinity Services that focus solely on promoting health and well-being are central to the services provided.
