Trinity Services Celebrates 50 Years of IARF Advocacy!

On Tuesday, May 22, 2025, Trinity Services joined other member organizations in Springfield to help celebrate 50 years of advocacy by the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, or IARF.
Founded in the early 1970s by a small group of rehabilitation professionals, today, IARF is the voice of human services organizations in government.
“IARF's purpose is clear,” said Thane Dykstra, Ph.D., President and CEO of Trinity Services, a member of the IARF’s Board of Directors. “To assist in the development and improvement of services in Illinois.”
The Association represents nearly 80 member agencies providing services and supports in more than 900 locations across Illinois, from Galena to Karnak, Chicago to Metro East St. Louis, and Quincy to Danville.
That same day, Trinity Services joined other member agencies in support of House Resolution 316, a resolution urging that reimbursable Direct Support Professional hours not be cut in the FY 2026 budget. State Representative Laura Faver Dias read the resolution in the House Chamber.
The House also honored Mickey Whitesell with a proclamation offered by Representative Lawrence “Larry” Walsh, Jr., as being recognized as the 2025 National Direct Support Professional of the year by the American Network of Community Options and Resources, or ANCOR.
