Trinity Celebrates 75 Years at Annual Dinner Dance!

Families, friends, community leaders, and well-wishers all came out to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Trinity Services at the Better Together Dinner Dance and Auction held at DiNolfo's in Homer Glen on Thursday, September 18, 2025.
Guests enjoyed good food, fellowship, and entertainment courtesy of The Connexion Band, while they bid on silent and live auction items, all for the benefit of Trinity Services.
Following insights from Thane Dykstra, Ph.D., President and CEO of Trinity Services, Art Dykstra, who served as CEO from 1987 to 2017, and currently Executive Director of the Trinity Foundation, took a few minutes to reminisce about the incredible growth and transformation of the Trinity School into Trinity Services, which today serves over 6,000 children and adults with disabilities and mental health needs in over 35 communities throughout the State of Illinois.
Following Art Dykstra's remarks, guests were treated to a new video covering the growth and expansion of Trinity Services over 75 years, which began as a school for children with disabilities in 1950. At the end of the evening, everyone received the new book, Making A Difference: Celebrating Trinity Services' 75 Years of Service, an in-depth look at the history and development of Trinity Services, as told through the narratives of families, people supported, community leaders, and staff members.
Trinity wishes to thank everyone who came out to celebrate this amazing milestone, and to those who have given so generously of their time and treasure over the decades to help Trinity Services continue their mission to provide the highest quality, person-directed services and supports for people with disabilities and mental health needs, so they may flourish and lead full and abundant lives.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
