The Living Room Receives a Generous Gift from Meijer in Orland Park!

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the Meijer store in Orland Park presented a check to The Living Room for $7,500.00. The gift to The Living Room was part of the "Meijer Team Gives" charitable program. Meijer employees at each store nominate local area organizations and then vote for them. The Living Room was selected from among 5 other local area organizations.
 
 
In addition to the $2,500 gift to The Living Room, the Meijer Orland Park store was also selected by the regional headquarters to provide an additional $5,000.00, making the total gift $7,500.00
 
 
"We are very grateful to Meijer and the wonderful folks at the Meijer store in Orland Park," said Patty Johnstone, the Director of The Living Room, a division of Trinity Services. "This amazing gift will help support our various programs."
 
 
The Living Room is a free alternative to the Emergency Room. It gives individuals in a crisis a safe, calm environment to de-escalate from their mental health stressors. The Living Room is open to anyone 18 years of age or older, who is experiencing a mental health crisis. The Living Room connects people with the support and resources they need, free of charge.
