NEW LENOX, IL – On Friday, July 24, 2026, hundreds of Trinity Services’ staff members and people supported by Trinity were on hand for the WGN-TV Super Fan Flyover at the Village Commons in New Lenox.

Participants gathered at 6:45 am in front of the Trinity administration building at 301 Veterans Parkway to be a part of a great tradition of WGN Morning News. “We love seeing our fans from Skycam 9,” said WGN Morning News Traffic Anchor/Reporter Brhett Vickery. “We will fly over your school, or business, your pool…even your backyard if you’ve got something fun to show us.”

The Skycam arrived at 7:20 am, hovering above the crowds. Trinity staff members and people supported, wearing flyover t-shirts, held up letters spelling out “TRINITY SERVICES SUPERFANS LOVE WGN!”, while others brandished a large poster that said “Trinity Services – Helping People with Disabilities and Mental Health Needs Flourish”. People supported by Trinity also brought their own homemade signs.

“The WGN-TV flyover is a wonderful opportunity to bring our Trinity family together to celebrate our mission of helping people flourish so they can lead full and abundant lives,” said Thane Dykstra, President and CEO of Trinity Services. “It’s great to see so many smiling faces so early in the morning.”

A film crew was also on hand to shoot drone footage before, during, and after the flyover. Afterwards, everyone came back to the Trinity administration building for bagels, donuts, fresh fruit, and coffee.

“It was a terrific experience with a very energized Trinity crowd,” said Sherry Ladislas, Trinity’s Director of Development. “We’re going to always remember this day! A big shout out to our friends at CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) for coming out so early to help manage the traffic!"
