Trinity Celebrates National Co-Responder and Crisis Responder Week

Trinity MCRU Team 3

This week is National Co-Responder and Crisis Responder Week, the perfect time to remind everyone of Trinity Services' partnership with the Orland Park Police Department and our shared commitment to help people in their greatest time of need.

As part of that commitment, the Orland Park Police Department has 37 trained Crisis Intervention Officers and are always looking to send more officers to the 40-hour Crisis Intervention Officer certification class.

Additionally, over the past 7 years, the Orland Park Police Department has featured the Mobile Crisis Response Unit (MCRU) from Trinity Services.  During certain situations, officers can dispatch Trinity counselors to the scene of a crisis, in real time.

If the situation does not allow for that immediate interaction with a counselor, Orland police officers can submit a mental health Trinity referral.  In those cases, a Trinity counselor will reach our to that person by phone shortly after the interaction.

For more information regarding Trinity's Mobile Crisis Response Unit (MCRU) and the partnership with the Orland Park Police Department, go to Mobile Crisis Response Unit, or click on the Orland Park Police Department Mental Health Page, at Orland Park Police Department Mental Health Services.
