Extended School Year Update
May 10, 2021
Dear Trinity families,
We are almost at the end of the school year. We are very thankful for the patience and understanding that you have shown us throughout this difficult year. Our priority has always been our students’ learning and safety, and with your help, we were able to accomplish that.
The state of Illinois continues to move forward in the implementation of the Restore Illinois Plan. We are currently at Phase 4 and are moving forward to the Bridge to Phase 5, which is the final phase wherein we all resume normal operations with no restrictions in place. The Covid positivity rates are continuing to go down in our region, residents continue to be vaccinated and vaccination is getting more accessible to all. Due to these reasons and with the recommendations from public health experts, we are pleased to inform you that for the Extended School Year, Trinity school will be offering 5 days of in-person learning. Any student who is medically fragile and wishes to continue to do remote learning can do so. Mask wearing, temperature checks, social distancing and frequent hand washing will still be implemented. We will be sending home the ESY plan before the last day of the school year.
We are looking forward to going to back to normalcy, and we carry the hope that this pandemic is at its final leg. Just a reminder that May 28th is our graduation, and the invitations have been sent home last week. We would love for everyone to participate virtually so we can come together as a community to celebrate our students.
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
